Why are credit card methods different in the US and Canada?

On US and Canada stores, customizing credit card methods (e.g. Visa, Mastercard as separate entries) requires Shopify Plus. Other payment methods can be customized on all plans.

This behavior comes from Shopify’s checkout and Payments platform, not from Payflow. Payflow runs within the rules Shopify exposes for each plan and region.
