Does Payflow take a commission on COD fees or orders?
No. Payflow does not take any commission, percentage, or per-order fee from your checkout — including COD fees.
The COD fee is implemented as a Shopify shipping rate that you create in your own Shopify admin → Settings → Shipping and delivery. Shopify collects the payment and deposits it into your account. Payflow only controls when the COD payment method is offered (with the COD rate); it never touches the money.
What the plans include
Section titled “What the plans include”On Free, only one customization can be active at a time, and that limit is shared: it applies whether the rule is Cash on Delivery Setup, a Payment Customization, a Delivery Customization, a checkout rule or Payment Instructions — not one of each. Premium and Pro remove that cap. Pro adds the tools for bank transfers and cash on delivery.

Yearly billing saves about 17% on either paid plan. SMS codes for COD verification to European numbers are paid from credits, with $1 a month included in Pro. Outside Europe, you connect your own Twilio or MSG91 account.
Only Active rules count toward the Free plan’s limit. Rules in Testing run only in your test storefront and take no slot, so you can prepare and test rules before you activate one.
If you subscribed before Premium and Pro existed, your plan shows as Premium and keeps everything it had, QR codes included.
Billing
Section titled “Billing”- No free trial — the Free plan is free for good; Premium and Pro are billed by Shopify from the day you subscribe.
